What is a healthy lifestyle ?
What does the word 'health' mean to you?
Different people will have different ideas of
what it means to be healthy. The World Health Organisation (WHO) define health as a “complete state of physical, mental and social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. But what does this actually mean?

It is very important to acknowledge healthy lifestyle in a way that involves all aspects of a person. Whilst maintaining a healthy physical body is an essential part of health, being healthy in the way we feel about ourselves and interact with others is just as important.
It is not as simple as 'not being sick'.

HEALTH RISK FACTORS
Many parts (or 'factors') of our lives influence how healthy we are. These factors can influence the risks to our health in a positive (good) way or in a negative (bad) way. Some of them we can't control or change- these are also known as 'non-modifiable risk factors'. Non-modifiable risk factors include age, gender, family history and cultural background.
The good news is, there are many risk factors we can easily control, known as 'modifiable risk factors'. In health, we love to put the focus on making postive changes to modifiable risk factors. This gives ourselves the best chance of being healthy.
All you need to do is change a 'bad' habit or behaviour in your lifestyle and turn it into a HEALTHY HABIT!
